During ZooLights at Stone Zoo in Stoneham, Santa sets up in the zoo's indoor, heated Animal Discovery Center for short meet-and-greets on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from Thanksgiving weekend through the weekend before Christmas. Each Santa session lasts about five minutes, long enough for a wish list and a holiday-card photo with your own camera. A ZooLights ticket is required for this experience, so plan the visit as part of an evening walking the zoo's light displays. Hours are 4:30 to 8:30 pm on the listed nights. It suits toddlers through early elementary children who want to see Santa somewhere warm without a long mall line.
