About this adventure

On December weekend middays, Santa sets up in a traditional workshop in Brown Square, the small green beside Newburyport City Hall, and children can stop in to tell him their wish lists and have a photo taken with him. The Greater Newburyport Chamber runs the workshop as part of the city's December festivities, so a visit pairs easily with a walk around the decorated downtown, the waterfront boardwalk and the shops on State Street and Market Square. It suits toddlers through early grade-schoolers who still want a Santa visit; bring your own camera or phone for the photo, since the page does not mention a photographer or photo packages. Visits run three hours each Saturday and Sunday for three weekends, which gives families several chances to fit it in before Christmas.
