Bones and Beyond is a drop-in afternoon at McDowell Nature Center about what happens after death in nature. Families can come any time between noon and 3:30 p.m. to explore real animal bones and remains, learn about scavengers and decomposers, and investigate the stories bones can tell and the role decomposition plays in the ecosystem. No pre-registration is required. It is not a drop-off program; a parent must attend with each child. Curious school-age children who like hands-on science will get the most out of it.
