Holidays in Huntersville is a free afternoon-into-evening festival at Veterans Park in downtown Huntersville the day after the tree lighting. Children can ride free rides, watch artisan ice sculpting and holiday performances by local groups on stage, hear the Carolers of Christmas Past, get face painting and balloon animals, meet roaming holiday characters and drop off letters and take pictures with Santa. More than 50 local vendors sell gifts, and food trucks and beverage vendors sell food and drinks. Main Street is closed to traffic; use the Town Center garage or other listed lots and allow time for walking.
