Discovery Place Science hosts a special midday guest presentation by Dr. Sarah Stellwagen of UNC Charlotte on spider biology and the science of spider silks, just in time for Halloween week. The talk takes place in the Discovery Theatre on level 1 and is included with museum admission, so families can pair it with the museum's live animal exhibits, KidScience lab for ages 0–7 and Thinker Space maker studio. Best for curious school-age children and teens who like bugs and biology; homeschool families may find the noon weekday slot convenient.
