Matthews Ballet and Dance stages The Nutcracker on the Fullwood Theater stage at the Matthews Community Center over two holiday weekends, presented by the Town of Matthews. The classic story of Clara, the Nutcracker Prince and the Land of Sweets is a common first ballet for young children, and a local production in a community theater is a shorter trip and a smaller house than the big downtown versions. Performances are on Saturday, November 28, Sunday, November 29, Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6. Tickets for the 2026 run go on sale on Monday, November 2; curtain times and prices had not been posted when the page was read.
