This silent disco is for tween customers between the ages of 9-12 only. Library staff will be available to supervise during the event. Tweens can enjoy an evening of music with their friends while dancing to music coming from headphones. This unique experience lets each participant choose the music and the volume they are most comfortable with. Headphones will be provided for each participant. Light snacks will be available. Tweens, it's your library too ! Interested in sharing your ideas, working with peers, and earning community service hours? Join the Tween Advisory Council, where we meet monthly to discuss tween programs, services, and collections that you want to see at the library! What does being a Tween Advisor involve? Creating and implementing tween programs at North County Regional Library. Establishing a comfortable, interactive, and tween-driven tween space through book displays and craft kits. Maintaining and promoting library resources that benefit you and your peers. Collaborating and community-building with other enthusiastic library tweens within the broader North County community. Gaining hands-on leadership experience while earning community service hours, building your résumé, and enhancing your college applications. This program is for tweens ages 9-12.
