Bring your old jack-o'-lanterns to the Community Gardens at Prairie Green (Peck and Bricher roads) on Saturday, November 7, 9 a.m.–noon, for Geneva's free pumpkin recycling day. Park district staff later till the pumpkins into the soil of the garden plots for the next season, which makes it a nice lesson for kids about composting. Remove all non-organic decorations — candles, yarn hair, stickers, googly eyes and plastic accessories — before dropping off. Presented by the City of Geneva's Natural Resources Committee and the Geneva Park District.
