Go Green Wilmette hosts an off-season Saturday morning clean-up at Gillson Beach, 890 Michigan Avenue in Wilmette, on October 24 from 9 to 11 am; the Wilmette Park District lists it on its events calendar. Volunteers help freshen up the beach by collecting rubbish and plastic pieces, so bring your own reusable gloves and a bucket or other container. The clean-up is free, no age limits are listed, and questions go to info@gogreenwilmette.org.
