About this adventure

On Saturday, October 31, from 1 to 1:30 p.m., a Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum staff member leads a guided Monarch Migration Walk as part of the museum's Día de los Muertos programming. Participants learn how monarch butterflies make their fall migration between September and November, follow the butterflies' life cycle, and hear about the Mexican celebration of Día de los Muertos and its connection to the monarchs' arrival. The group meets in the museum lobby before setting out. The walk is free with museum admission; basic admission is $15 for adults and $8 for children 1 to 12 (Illinois residents; out-of-state visitors pay $2 more, plus a 10% service fee), and infants under 12 months and members are free. The museum is in Lincoln Park at 2430 N. Cannon Dr. and is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. that day.
