Notallama Alpaca Farm brings two gentle alpacas, Magic and Desi, to Anderson Township's Veterans Park for a hands-on morning. Visitors can pet and feed the alpacas and learn what makes the animals special, and there is a photo opportunity with the alpacas; alpaca fiber products are also for sale. The event is for all ages and runs in two time slots, 10 a.m. or 11:30 a.m., so each participant chooses one when registering. Everyone must register in advance and space is limited; children 13 and under must come with a registered adult. The fee is $10 per Anderson resident and $15 per non-resident, and it is a pet-free event.
