About this adventure

An evening workshop for tweens and teens at Baker Hunt in Covington on decorating pillar candles. Students personalize unscented candles with candle-safe wax paints, carving tools and optional metallic accents, learning basic decorating and safe carving methods, how to paint on wax, and how to plan a design and transfer a pattern. The instructor, Chase Carroll, also covers how to care for a decorated candle so it can still be displayed or burned safely. Each student leaves with at least one finished pillar candle, which makes a handmade holiday gift. Baker Hunt describes the process as relaxing and good for focus. All supplies are included.
