Children in grades K-5 celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, at the Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch. Library staff introduce the festival, a celebration of light over darkness and good over evil observed in India and by many people around the world, and kids make related crafts: diyas (clay lamps), Ganesha ornaments and rangoli, the traditional colorful patterns. The program runs from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Fort Thomas Meeting Room; no registration is listed in the library calendar.
