A winter science hour for homeschoolers in grades K-5 at the Newport Branch. Children learn about the life cycle of a snowflake, then make a small snowstorm in a jar and finish by crafting their own unique snowflakes from a variety of supplies. The session runs from 1 to 2 p.m. on a Thursday in the Kinsella Community Room; the library calendar shows no registration requirement. Questions, including accommodation requests, go to the Newport programming staff.
