About this adventure

On Friday and Saturday nights between Thanksgiving weekend and the day after Christmas, Perfect North Slopes in Lawrenceburg opens Northern Lights, a holiday light drive around the lake at the ski area. Families stay in their own vehicle on a one-mile loop lined with massive LED-lit trees, winter scenes and a light tunnel, with holiday music along the way. The organizers suggest driving at about 5 mph, and most guests spend half an hour or a little more on the loop, so even small children can see the whole display from their car seats. Food and drinks are sold on the East Lodge patio only when skiing, snowboarding or snow tubing is also open. The drive runs in rain, snow or sunshine and closes only if severe weather makes the grounds unsafe.
