About this adventure
For one evening Squire's Castle in North Chagrin Reservation and the trails around it are lit with luminaries and lanterns. Families can meet live animals, handle bones and taxidermy, see ancient-creature specimens brought by the Cleveland Museum of Natural History and curiosities from Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, and meet costumed interpreters playing Mr. and Mrs. Squire from the Western Reserve Historical Society. Local artist vendors sell their work and Cleveland Metroparks and Piccolo food trucks are on site. Costumes are encouraged, which makes it an easy Halloween-week outing for children of any age; the castle grounds are outdoors, so dress for an October evening.
