About this adventure
Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park is a family-friendly Lake Erie beach that Lake Metroparks keeps open year-round, once named the best beach in Ohio by Coastal Living. The T-shaped Harbor View Boardwalk runs from the parking lot across the sand so strollers and wheelchairs can reach views of the harbor, the lighthouse and the sunset, with benches and picnic tables along the deck. In the off-season there are no lifeguards (swimming at your own risk) and parking is free; a harbor webcam on the park page shows current lake conditions before you go.
