About this adventure
The Holden Arboretum spreads across Lake and Geauga counties with gardens, trails, lakes and meadows, and is open year-round, rain or shine. General admission includes its two signature climbs: the Murch Canopy Walk, an elevated walkway through the treetops, and the Kalberer Emergent Tower, a lookout tower. Families can combine those with trail walks and pond stops; highlights tram tours run May through October only. The Arboretum's visit page has tips for bringing children. Discounts include Museums for All ($1), half-price for veterans and active-duty military (in person) and $13 seniors on Tuesdays. Tickets are non-refundable, so check the forecast before buying.
