About this adventure

Lakeview Park was Lorain County Metro Parks' first lakeside park: 20 acres on West Erie Avenue in Lorain with a swimming beach, lawn bowling, sunsets over Lake Erie and views of the Lorain Lighthouse. Its historic Rose Garden, dedicated in 1932, is laid out as a Rotary wheel with eight spokes and about 2,500 roses in 48 beds, an easy place for a stroller loop. The Sunset Café in the beach bathhouse serves lunch only in summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day).
