North Pointe Ballet’s The Nutcracker follows Clara and the Nutcracker Prince from the battle scenes to the Land of the Sweets. Professional dancers, large sets, and theatrical effects fill about two hours, including a 15-minute intermission. Speech and sign language narration run through the performance. This record is the public Friday evening, Saturday evening, and Sunday matinee at the Lorain Palace. The Saturday 2:00 p.m. sensory-friendly performance is its own listing, and the Friday morning school field trip is not a public show. Children age 2 and under may sit on a lap with no ticket. Families who need wheelchair seating email the box office before they buy. Gallery is the lowest printed seat price, and the Palace adds a theatre fee to every purchase.
