About this adventure

The Dallas Symphony's annual Día de los Muertos concert fills the Meyerson with mariachi and ballet folklórico. Enrico Lopez-Yañez conducts, joined by Mariachi Los Unicos, Mariachi Lone Star, Mariachi Pegaso, and the Booker T. Washington High School and Las Estrellas de Tejas ballet folklórico troupes. The program includes La Llorona, Márquez's Danzón No. 8, Bésame Mucho, Amor Eterno and Huapango. Guests can bring an offering for the ofrenda, enjoy pan de muerto and hot chocolate, and sing and dance along. The concert runs without an intermission, a plus for younger listeners.
