About this adventure
A festive morning at Butterfly Pavilion that ties holiday tinsel to the science of spider silk. Families meet some of the pavilion's arachnid ambassadors up close in a guided animal encounter, learn how silk works, and watch a dramatic read-along retelling of the Cobweb Christmas storybook. Children then make a pinecone ornament to take home and hang for the holidays, and general admission is included, so families can explore the rest of the exhibits afterward. The workshop is best suited to children ages 4 to 10 with their grown-ups; children under 2 enter free, though the content is not designed for them. Buy tickets in advance.
