About this adventure
Jefferson County Open Space marks Native American Heritage Month with a free, all-ages celebration at Hiwan Heritage Park & Museum in Evergreen, honoring the cultures, histories and contemporary presence of Indigenous peoples. The day brings music, dance, storytelling, history and community activities that invite visitors to learn and connect, and families can also look around the historic Hiwan log home and grounds. It runs from mid-morning to mid-afternoon, so families can drop in for an hour or stay for several performances; dress for foothills weather between indoor and outdoor activities.
