About this adventure
Foothills Park & Recreation District lists a holiday Nutcracker at Columbine High School in south Jefferson County, with a Friday evening performance and a Saturday afternoon matinee on the weekend before Christmas. The story follows Clara, her magical Nutcracker, the battle with the Mouse King and the journey to the Land of Sweets, and a neighborhood production like this is an easy first ballet for young children who are not ready for a long downtown show. The Saturday 2:30 pm matinee is the better pick for preschoolers. Tickets are sold through the district's CapturePoint registration system,, where prices and seating are listed.
