About this adventure
Miners Alley Theatre for Young Audiences stages The Story of the Nutcracker in downtown Golden: Clara receives a magical Nutcracker from her godfather Drosselmeier and ventures into the Kingdom Under the Tree to help him battle the Mouse King and win back his kingdoms. It is a short, family-sized retelling in an intimate playhouse rather than a full ballet, which makes it a gentler first Nutcracker for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Saturday performances are at 10 a.m. and noon, and the run continues through the week after Christmas; reserve tickets in advance.
