Every holiday season the Calf Barn at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm fills with detailed operating model train layouts designed, built and installed by the Stoney Creek Model Railroad Club. Children can follow a scavenger hunt through the exhibit to earn an engineer certificate or enter a raffle. Walk-ins are welcome and no registration is required. Open select Saturdays and Sundays from Thanksgiving weekend into January, noon to 3 p.m. on the dates posted so far. Admission is free for museum members and $5 for non-member adults.
