A free family Diwali celebration in the DIA's Rivera Court presented by the museum's auxiliary Friends of Asian Arts and Cultures. Lalitha Ramamoorthy of the School of World Music and Dance shares the story of the Festival of Lights through storytelling and dance, and visitors of all ages help build a large collaborative rangoli — traditional floor art — using flower petals to add colour and pattern. A hands-on way for children to learn what Diwali celebrates. Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.; included with general admission, which is free for tri-county residents.
