Sterling Heights' seasonal outdoor ice rink in Dodge Park opens for the 2026–27 season on Dec. 1. Open skating runs Monday–Thursday noon–9 p.m., Friday noon–10 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.–10 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.–8 p.m., with shorter hours on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31 and closures on Christmas and New Year's Day. Residents skate free with valid ID; non-residents pay $5, and skate rental and sharpening are $5 each. Children under 18 who live in Sterling Heights can get a free Recreation Passport to skate at the resident rate when a non-resident caregiver brings them. The rink also runs Sensory Friendly Sundays and theme nights in January. Call the rink hotline before going in uncertain weather.
