A New Year's Eve morning celebration for families in the DIA's Crystal Gallery, timed to ring in the New Year before bedtime. Puppet Karaoke Detroit runs an interactive sing-along: children and adults pick a karaoke song, step behind the puppet stage and perform solo, with friends or alongside the original vocals while their puppet takes the spotlight. Singing starts at 11 a.m. and builds to a countdown at noon. Food and drinks are on sale, and families can stay for a classic silent comedy with a live score in the museum's historic theatre. Free with museum admission.
