Cirque du Soleil's holiday show, 'Twas the Night Before…, returns to the Fox Theatre for 17 performances from December 17 to 27, 2026. Inspired by Clement Clarke Moore's poem "A Visit from Saint Nicholas", it tells the story of a jaded young girl who rediscovers the magic of the holidays. A cast of 26 performs aerial straps, hoop diving, hair suspension and high-energy dancing to reinvented Christmas songs. The presenter says it was created especially for families and calls it an introduction to Cirque du Soleil for the next generation of theatergoers. Showtimes range from noon matinees to 7:30 p.m. evening shows, and doors open 60 minutes before showtime.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
Read in a browser. 17 showtimes listed, matching '17 shows' in the prose. The age wording is a figure of speech, not a stated minimum, so minAge is left null. Fox Theatre address from https://www.313presents.com/venue/fox-theatre/fox-theatre-a-z-guide (the page prints the ZIP as 48021, an apparent typo for Detroit's 48201). The same guide says guests two and older need a ticket for most events, under-twos may sit on a ticketed lap, and age rules vary for children's events.
