A historic, family-owned cider mill on the Clinton River in Rochester Hills, operating since the Civil War era. Beyond cider and donuts, the mill describes itself as a family destination with walking and biking trails, the scenic Yates River Walk, picnic areas, an apple tent and fudge shop, and pony rides and a petting zoo available every weekend in fall, weather permitting; the ice cream shoppe is open weekends. Fall hours: Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m.-7 p.m. A second Yates location operates at Canterbury Village in Lake Orion.
