Upcoming dates: Sat, Oct 24 · Sat, Nov 28 · Sat, Dec 19
Monthly guided family hikes from the Stony Creek Metropark Nature Center in Shelby Township, each built around a seasonal theme: Falling Leaves on Oct 24, White-tailed Deer on Nov 28 and Landforms on Dec 19. After a short indoor start, a naturalist leads a leisurely 75-minute walk of half a mile to a mile and a half with frequent stops and hands-on nature activities along the way. Trails are gravel and occasionally steep, and in winter snow and ice can make them slippery, so wear sturdy boots. Open to all ages; children must come with a registered adult. Register for each date separately.
