About this adventure
Sankt Nikolaus and his companion Knecht Ruprecht make a grand entrance at the Carmel Christkindlmarkt for the German feast of St. Nicholas. After a special presentation in the Winter Pavilion, children can meet the pair in person at the Spielhaus. Following the old custom, kids are encouraged to recite a short poem or sing a song for Sankt Nikolaus before receiving a small gift, so it helps to practice a verse at home. The visit runs 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5; the market itself is free to enter and open noon to 9 p.m. that day, and the ice rink on Carter Green is next door.
