Elf The Musical, based on the hit film, follows Buddy, a young orphan who crawls into Santa's sack of toys one Christmas Eve and, after discovering he is human, travels to New York City to find his birth father, helping the city rediscover the meaning of Christmas along the way. This all-new touring production is based on the 2024 Broadway production. It runs about 130 minutes plus one 20-minute intermission. Children aged 5 and up with a ticket can attend, but based on content The Smith Center recommends the show for ages 6+; every patron needs their own ticket. Known special effects include haze, fog, strobe lights and bubble snow. A sensory inclusive performance, modified for audience members with sensory sensitivities, is offered on Wednesday, November 25 at 2 PM. Thanksgiving-week run in Reynolds Hall, with evening and matinee performances.
