About this adventure
A Halloween-week family artmaking session at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, led by art instructor Erna van Dyk. Inspired by Cubist art and the iconic Frankenstein monster, children and grown-ups use watercolor paints, colored pencils and markers to turn geometric shapes into a creepy, colorful creature of their own design. The workshop is open to families and artists of all skill levels and lasts one hour in the museum's John M. Lee Court, from 11 a.m. to noon. It is ticketed — $15 general and $10 for members — and tickets are non-refundable; proceeds support the museum's education programs. Buy tickets in advance through the Bowers' ticketing page; questions go to the museum at 714.567.3677.
