Thanksgiving-weekend Jr. Ranger adventure at Irvine Regional Park in Orange. The session begins outside the park's nature center; from there children explore the park with OC Parks staff, complete Jr. Ranger activities and take the Jr. Ranger Oath to earn an Irvine Regional Park badge. It is a good way to get kids outdoors over the holiday break. The program is designed for ages 7 to 12 but all are welcome, and a parent or guardian must stay with minors throughout. Sunscreen, sturdy shoes and water are recommended. The program is free, parking is $5 per vehicle, registration in advance is required and inclement weather cancels.
