About this adventure

Every evening in December, the trees and walkways of 10-acre Burton Chace Park in Marina del Rey are wrapped in thousands of twinkling holiday lights and decorations. The park is surrounded by water on three sides, with views of the harbor's boats, and its paths, viewing areas and restrooms are accessible for strollers and wheelchairs. The Tourism Board suggests arriving just before sunset, bringing hot cocoa and dressing warmly because marina evenings get chilly. Admission is free and no reservation is needed. A limited number of picnic tables and grills are available first come, first served. Public lots near the park typically charge $7–$10, and Big Blue Bus line 3 serves the marina from the Metro E Line. The lights are up nightly from December 1 through New Year's Eve, 4 to 10 p.m.
