About this adventure
Newport Landing and its sister landing Davey's Locker run decorated cruise boats through Newport Harbor all season to view the Ring of Lights from the water: bayfront homes, docks and yacht clubs dressed in holiday lights, plus the many boats that stay lit between parade nights. Sailings play holiday music, and the operator suggests the non-parade nights for families with young children because they are quieter and focused on the scenery. On the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade nights (December 16–20) the cruises travel inside the parade route for front-row views of the illuminated fleet. Cruises leave from Newport Landing at 309 Palm Street on the Balboa Peninsula several times each evening. The operator advises warm layers and closed-toe shoes for the open decks. Reservations are required, and all holiday sales are final.
