The 40th annual Holiday Crafts with Santa at the Manhattan Heights Park Community Center invites whole families to make handmade crafts and ornaments together, with extra projects from the city's Cultural Arts Division. Santa stops by for a holiday visit, and the session includes a spaghetti dinner, treats and hot cocoa; ugly holiday sweaters are encouraged. There are two sessions: Saturday, December 5, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., and Sunday, December 6, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Pre-registration is required and the fee is per person: $15 for residents and $16 for non-residents. It suits preschool and elementary-age children who enjoy crafts, and takes about an hour and a half.
