Coral Gables' Play for All program hosts a calm, sensory-friendly Halloween at Ruth Bryan Owen Waterway Park. Children practice trick-or-treating and play games in the park, with a photo station, storybook walk, a safe maze, and art and sensory stations. The rules are designed for kids who find Halloween overwhelming: nothing scary, no expectations to speak, act or dress a certain way, no masked adults, a quiet area and a limited crowd.
