About this adventure

A volunteer-run drive-thru Christmas light show that winds for about two miles through the back of Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach. Families stay in the car and roll past dancing lights, talking props and light displays synchronized to music. The show is put on by Lights 4 Hope, Inc., a nonprofit whose mission is bringing decorations, presents and gift cards to local families with a seriously ill child, and the organizer credits visitors with helping it reach more families each year. Pricing is per vehicle rather than per person: the standard car or truck price covers up to eight people. The show runs on weekends from Thanksgiving weekend into mid-December, then nightly in the week before Christmas, including Christmas night (it is closed on Christmas Eve). Enter Okeeheelee Park at the west entrance on Eshleman Trail and follow it north to the show near Micanopy Pavilion; the ticket booth is just past the entrance to Shark Wake Park. Tickets are sold at the entrance or in advance online.
