About this adventure

The weekend before the Lights 4 Hope drive-thru opens, the nonprofit holds two Family Fun Nights on foot at Okeeheelee Park. The organizer lists bounce houses, music and a synchronized light display, with hayrides, food trucks and vendors available for an extra charge. Cars do not drive through the light show on these nights; the full drive-thru starts on Thanksgiving weekend. It is an evening outing for families with young children who want to see some of the lights up close and burn off energy in the bounce houses. The event is set up near Micanopy Pavilion at the back of the park; use the west entrance on Eshleman Trail and look for the ticket booth just beyond the entrance to Shark Wake Park. Ticket prices and sales had not been announced when this was checked, so look at the organizer's events page before going.
