The Children's Science Explorium hosts a one-day holiday gathering at its outdoor Chickee Lab in Sugar Sand Park as day turns to evening. Children ages 5–12 and their grown-up enjoy sparkling decorations, a hot cocoa bar, seasonal treats and hands-on nature-inspired holiday crafts. There are two one-hour sessions (3:30–4:30 pm and 5–6 pm). The price covers one child and one adult: resident $10, non-resident $12.50, with extra adult tickets at $3. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, unregistered siblings cannot attend, and pre-registration is required.
