About this adventure
A free afternoon of outdoor adventure for all ages on the shortest days of the year. Educators lead one-hour guided hikes at 1 and 2:30 p.m. and a sunset hike at 4 p.m.; in the Coop, kids make a luminary from a clean recycled glass jar (extras provided), build bird feeders and color mindfulness mandalas from 1 to 6 p.m. A bonfire with s'mores and healthy snacks burns all afternoon, and from 4:30 p.m. the Trails Aglow luminaries light a 1.5-mile self-guided route. Children must be with an adult. Pre-register by December 18 or sign up on site if spots remain.
