About this adventure

Kapco's Kids2Kids Toy Drive, one of the region's largest holiday toy collections, wraps up each December with a Celebration of Giving at the Kacmarcik Center for Human Performance in Grafton. Families bring new toys to donate and stay for an afternoon and evening of musical performances, outdoor holiday lights, holiday activities and an annual tribute to Ozaukee County first responders, ending among mountains of collected toys. The drive was started in 2006 to teach children the impact of generosity, and the event is built around kids taking an active part in giving, so it is a good way to involve preschool and school-age children in choosing and handing over a gift for another child. Families who want to do more can sign up to volunteer through the organizer's sign-up page or buy a toy from the online wish list in advance. The toys go to dozens of local nonprofits and agencies. The event page does not list an admission charge; bringing a new, unwrapped toy is the expected way to take part.
