About this adventure
Beginner skating classes at the Pettit that lay a foundation for figure skating, hockey and speed skating. Tot 'N Me (ages 3–5) puts a parent on the ice beside the child for support; the adult must be comfortable on skates, and the fee covers one adult and one child. Hockey Tots (ages 4–5) teaches falling and getting up, marching, two-foot glides and stopping, with and without sticks, focusing on skating rather than the game. Snowplow Sam is a four-class progression for children with little or no experience, and the Basic Skills program for ages 6–12 moves through six levels. A scholarship program is available for qualified families.
