About this adventure
The Hermitage's second annual Jacksonian Christmas Festival fills Tulip Grove, the historic house on the Hermitage grounds, with a day of holiday fun for the whole family. Tulip Grove is decorated with 19th-century holiday décor, and children can try family-friendly crafts, games and storytelling, visit with Santa Claus and watch live entertainment. A Christmas Market and festive food and drinks round out the day. Historical interpreters explain how both the Jackson family and the enslaved community at The Hermitage observed the holidays, so older children get a real history lesson alongside the fun. The festival runs from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, December 5; tickets are sold online in advance.
