About this adventure
Shelby Bottoms Nature Center sets up a pop-up makerspace about biomimicry, the process of designing inventions modeled on animals and nature. Drop in to take on engineering challenges, build nature-inspired inventions of your own and test them out. The open-house format runs from 1 to 3 pm, all ages are welcome and no registration is needed, so younger children can tinker alongside parents while older kids tackle the challenges independently. It is a good indoor option for a November Saturday afternoon and can be combined with the Autumn Colors Walk at 2 pm the same day.
