About this adventure
Rakugo performer Fukuhime-san visits from Tokyo to perform at the Pruitt Branch library. Rakugo is traditional Japanese comic storytelling that began in the Edo period about 400 years ago. The free one-hour program on the second floor runs from 1 to 2 pm on Wednesday, November 4, and is open to children, teens and adults interested in Japanese culture, traditional arts and live performance. It is an unusual chance for families, including homeschoolers, to see this art form in person.
