About this adventure
Jonathan Rockefeller's The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show brings four Eric Carle books to the stage with 75 larger-than-life puppets designed to match Carle's illustrations, so preschoolers will recognize many characters from the books. Narrators tell each story with minimal dialogue, and the actors moving the puppets stay visible. The theatre's readiness guide rates language and scariness 1 out of 5 (a cat and dog bark and hiss, a box of rubber ducks falls into the ocean) and sensory intensity 3 out of 5 because of big, bold movement and color changes. The show is recommended for ages 3 to 8. Every NCT run includes a Neuro-Inclusive performance, an ASL-interpreted performance and a Discovery Day with a post-show Q&A, and themed lobby activities open an hour before each show. All NCT shows are sensory friendly, booster seats are available and parking is free.
